Can Arsenal go on a miraculous run to win the Premier League title?

As the season draws to a close, Arsenal still have an outside chance of winning the Premier League crown. Arsene Wenger’s men are eleven points behind current leaders Leicester City but victory in their game-in-hand over the Foxes will see the deficit reduced to eight. It won’t be easy but, with a bit of luck, Arsenal CAN still win the title this season – and here’s why.

Ultimately, Leicester’s tricky run-in might mean the title race is alive until the very last day of the season. Claudio Ranieri’s men must face Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea in their final three games of the campaign whilst both Tottenham and Arsenal have easier runs to negotiate. As of March 23rd, Leicester are in firm control of their own destiny but both Spurs and Arsenal are waiting to pick up the pieces.

After a season of promise and excitement, the Premier League is Arsenal’s last chance of silverware. They were knocked out of the Champions League by defending champions Barcelona, suffered a shock quarter-final FA Cup exit at the hands of Watford and were eliminated in the early rounds of the Capital One Cup by Sheffield Wednesday.

If nothing else, it’s been a disappointing campaign for the Gunners – especially considering their back-to-back FA Cup triumphs in the last two years. However, it’s not all doom and gloom just yet. At the time of writing, punters looking to place a football bet on the Gunners to win the Premier League title can get 6/1 with Coral. And in a season of twists and turns, there might be one final moment of drama in Arsenal’s favour.

So, the Premier League is Arsenal’s be all and end all. Win it and Arsene Wenger will forever be remembered as the man to mastermind one of the club’s greatest ever triumphs. Lose and more fans will be calling for the Frenchman to leave this summer – especially after showing so much promise and potential throughout the campaign. Will they pull it off? Only time will tell. At the very least, Arsenal, who are 1/16 with Coral, should finish in the top four and secure Champions League football at the Emirates Stadium yet again.

It will take a minor miracle for Arsenal to topple Leicester but football tends to throw up these dramatic, shock moments on a regular basis. The Gunners are struggling for consistency right now but victory over Everton in their most recent contest has given the players, their manager and the supporters that added belief. Can they do it? Who knows, but it’s sure to be an exciting finish to one of the craziest Premier League seasons of all-time.
