Arsenal are in the hunt for a forward either as back up to, or replacement for, Olivier Giroud. Theo Walcott started the 0-1 defeat to Chelsea and Arsene Wenger allegedly has funds to spend. The Frenchman has said he’d make a bid for a player if it was “an exceptional” option. Rumours today are linking Arsenal with an astonishing £61 million bid for Alvaro Morata, the former Real Madrid forward.
The fee rumoured is astonishing and likely completely untrue given that Morata has only scored once this season in Serie A and his total goal tally for Juventus is just 9 goals in 48 Serie A appearances. That being said, he does offer a lot more than just goals. But, given the fee the rumour appears very unlikely.
