About Think Football
Think Football was set up in August 2011 as a platform for up and coming football writers. We were tired with the mainstream reporting of football and felt that many of the major publications lacked the required nuance or depth to truly capture the reality of debates surrounding the beautiful game.
Inspired by high brow analysis offered on Zonal Marking we thought we’d give football analysis
ago, utilizing, or trying to utilize hard facts in the form of stats and also providing a broader tactical look at matches and players.
Think Football has grown drastically in this period to having 11,000 Twitter followers and almost 28,000 likes on Facebook. We’ve had contributions from over 150 independent writers, with our articles appearing on Google News and News Now. Think Football now receives around 150,000 views per month and rising.
